A reader wrote me an email asking for an easy way to draw a back of a chair. Since I assume this could be an interesting topic for most of you I decided to write a post about that. This task can be easily accomplished with the native tools of SketchUp.
For this I took the plans for a chair I found on an old issue of the Woodworker’s Journal.
The first thing I do is to import a reference drawing directly taken from the magazine. I resize the picture to the actual size and draw on it with the line tool and the arc tool. Read on “Drawing a curved back of a chair” »
